Boating on the lake

At the village of Kerkini, you can get on one of the tour boats and take a boat tour around the lake. Duration of the tour is about 2 hours.

Birdwatching

Bird watching or birding is a form of wildlife observation in which the observation of birds is considered a recreational activity or citizen science

Horse Riding

You can take a horse ride along the lake or to mount Krousia. Ask at the reception for more information about organized horse riding tours

Trekking – Hiking

Lake Kerkini and the nearby mountains, offer countless routes which are suitable for trekking and hiking.

Canoe Tour

It is the most gentle and discrete means of visiting the natural reserve here, in lake Kerkini, and it is the way in which we first started touring the area

Cycling

It’s the best way to discover the lakeside environment yourself or by organized bike tours.

Ideal path is along the eastern embankment, onto a dirt road from our village to the estuary
